"You dance and type like a madman, and are kept around soley for entertainment value." - AKosygin to Zarove03, Outlaw Star.Net EZBoard

"If I may borrow a logical fallacy from the Book of Zarove: I'm not saying you are whining because you disagree with me, I am saying you are whining because you are." - Les, Stupid Evil Bastard

Zarove is considered the most infamous member to ever join the board. No one has ever come to match or surpass the infamy that he is known for.

Zarove's name is taken from Professor Zaroff, a character from Dr. Who since Zarove was a big fan of that show. Zaroff is a mad scientist who plans to destroy the world. Besides, Dr. Who, Zarove is also known to be a fan of Land before Time and Star Trek.

It's obvious that Zarove got into Outlaw Star due to the character Duuz because of his dinosaur obsession. He signed up early to Outlaw Star.Net. He tended to post really odd silly posts and also proved to be quite hard to discuss with when he would become unfriendly at any given moment.

Because some people soon learned that disagreeing with Zarove lead to boring misspelled fervent posts by him. His other trait was that he would never let anyone have the last word in, so if you kept posting he would as well. And he loved to profess that he was the last dinosuar god.

Goddamnit!

An infamous thread on EZBoard was started by Pooka, in where she stated that she was mad that no one was visiting her site. In it, she typed 'Goddamnit'. Soon the thread was turned about a website to religion as Zarove took offense to which he thought was taking the Lord's name in vain. Both posters would not quit attacking each other, so Crimson stepped in to tell Zarove to stop it as Hyena tried to talk both Zarove and Pooka to stop their hostilities. In the end, AKo decided to delete the thread, Zarove developed hatred for Crimson, Hyena saw Zarove as an idiot, and it served as a warning of things to come.

The Mod Fight

This is considered the darkest time in all of Outlaw Star.net's History.

After a lot of complaining that the old set of mods weren't there at all to handle with the spammers, AKosygin decided to let members nominate other members of the board to become mods. He set up a requirement list of what he was looking for. So the call goes out and the following members get nominated: Laughing Hyena, Jukai, SRx71, Starwind 500, OS_Guy, and a few others.

Zarove doesn't get mentioned at all, even by his friends. Peeved by this, he set up a new thread complaining about why he wasn't picked and why he should be become a mod. Only, he didn't meet a number of the requirements AKo listed. This is stated to him a number of times, but doesn't seem to register to him or his cohorts. Hyena, already irritated by how Zarove acted in the infamous 'Goddamnit' thread makes the mistake of replying to Zarove with 'Whine, whine, whine'.

This unforunately sets Zarove off on a never ending quest to prove Hyena is the most evil person on the planet and that she should not become a moderator ever. Sadly, Hyena's quote became a predication of Zarove's reactions. This splits the board into two warring sides, those who support Zarove and those who think Zarove is plain nuts. The hostilities became so great that AKo had to step in. He created new sections of the board to handle this problem. One was created only for Zarove and Hyena. In it, AKo called for a cessation of hostilities or else. Hyena replied and would not respond back to Zarove under the agreements. Zarove never responded.

In chatrooms, Zarove kept claiming he would respond to AKo, but with proof of what an evil horrible person Hyena was. He never posted it.

In time, it was decided that Hyena and Starwind 500 would be become mods. However, Starwind 500 didn't want AKo to state that he was promoted; this was a very bad move. In the end, it looked like only Hyena was made into a moderator. To which Zarove increased his hostilities, now not only at Hyena, but at AKo as well.

Finally having it, Zarove decides to proclaim that he's leaving the board. He was hoping to take along with him those who had sided with him. He stated that this would have an impact on the board and Outlaw Star.Net would cease to exist in a few years. Zarove's departure had a strange effect though. Suddenly, the board became very peaceful with his leaving. However, the board members thought he had left and let everything in the past go. They were wrong.

Everyone gather around! A FIGHT!! thread

During Zarove's long absence from the board, before we found out he was badmouthing us, everything became really peaceful. Some were a bit bored that there were no fights among members, so a mock fight was created. It was where posters could parody members that used to be around during the mod fight. Crimson was Jukai and Mike took Zarove's role. The thread still exists, but EZBoard's code was messed up during the move, so it may be hard to read. Here it is.

Zarove's badmouthing of OLS.Net and the rise of SSJVinnieG

Zarove and the group that followed him created a new EZBoard titled 'Nexus Point' after or during the 'Mod fight' (See above). It was a small board with a few members and Zarove would post the odd posts he used to on OLS.Net. However, new members would come in from other boards Zarove would visit and post to. Zarove also went to boards made by members who were sick of the Mod fight as well and left to create their own boards.

However, in the few months to come it made support on Zarove's side very fractured and even harder to gather support once people starting doubting Zarove's word.

On all surfaces it seemed like nothing was wrong in the few places OLS.Net members visited to post to members on other boards that they were still friends with. Until Zarove himself decided to stir up a storm. While he was still complaining about the whole Mod thing on other boards that most members were used to, he decided to start using insults and slander about the board and tell this to people who knew Zarove from somewhere else, but had never seen/heard of OLS.Net. The effect was instant, people would side with Zarove after he would tell how horrible he was treated. He would use this often to his advantage to stake his claims on every board he went to at the time.

When the members of OLS.Net found out about this it was too personal not to stay out of it. Those that still posted on OLS.Net and were never in the Mod fight felt like Zarove had painted them with a board brush and were angry about it. Those that were in the Mod fight saw Zarove as taking things too far and had to defend themselves.

Zarove also wasn't hiding any of this, so members on other boards where Zarove was were put on the spot because they also posted at OLS.Net.

Even if you were friendly and not trying to cause trouble on Zarove's Nexus Point: If he knew you were from OLS.Net, he would ban you on the spot.

A recent user was promoted to mod status during this time, was Vincent. Vince was trying to sort out a problem with his website with another user that would mostly post on Nexus Point. However, because Vince was a member of OLS.Net, Zarove came out and started to bug Vince about it. Vince wanted nothing to do with Zarove's own problems and just wanted to talk to the other user. And Zarove just wouldn't stop posting how horrible OLS.Net was.

Peeved, Vince then joined others who were finally fed up with Zarove and wanted to oust him out of other boards.

One of the huge EZBoard battles took place was on Kennon's various boards, where Vince turned the whole board from outright hating us thanks to Zarove, to giving Zarove the boot. Zarove had a tenancy to make very bad mistakes on his part and turn on his own support when they would disagree. Where members of OLS.Net were united in one thing only, making Zarove to stop with his slanderous stories and never bringing it up again. While that failed in the long run, the unity was much better than what was going on in Zarove's side. As it collapsed on itself all thanks to Zarove's part.

A lot of support went into Vince as he was the leading charge and often deciding factor in these spats with Zarove. After all the anger was spent, members decided to make fun of Zarove and his antics. After all he was becoming too predictable and it was too easy to parody him.

Even funnier were the blowouts on his own side, with his former friends sticking it to him after Zarove snapped at them. One funny account was that on Nexus Point, Zarove made Zimed into one of his mods. When things went sour between them, Zimed kicked Zarove out of his own board and let Vince and Mike in.

Zarove finally decided to threaten to sue which never happened and call us 'stalkers' on boards when members were already posting there before the Mod fight. He left from anime boards and moved into Sci-fi and Religion boards were he thought he would be protected. He was right, we didn't usually follow him to boards where we were not members until he brought the whole thing up again. In those places he would usually put on a victim role and hint at us as the bad people who were mean to him. We were happy as long as he didn't mention OLS.Net. In places where he never brought it up, he had ways of making people we hardly know hate his guts all on his own.

So it was then decided to leave him to his own devices, after all, he did a very good job at making huge missteps on his own that people would ignore anything he said about us.

The last straw at Tigerclaws' forum

What broke the camel's back.

At this point in time (2002/2003) most members treated Zarove with humor when they thought back on him and really didn't bother him. That all changed a bit after the discovery of a few of Zarove's other EZBoards.

Besides the main board, Nexus Point, Zarove's other boards involved himself and Zelda. Most members by this time either knew or had figured that Zarove was around 24 and Zelda was 12. At first, it was seen as pretty pathetic in the way Zarove's posts proclaimed his love for her. Note that Zelda herself wasn't even aware of this message board.

Then something happened over in the chat rooms. Outlaw Star.Net members were using AIM and Zarove's friends tended to use MSN chat. Zelda became very upset over what was said in the MSN chats, came to the AIM to bug Outlaw Star.Net members about it, and wanted them to defend her. When we found out it involved Zarove, the Zarove and Zelda forever board was no longer funny. It was personal, Zarove's act enraged everybody and there was great desire to confront him about this act of pedophile behavior.

It was discovered by Hyena, that Zarove was active on a sci-fi board called Tigerclaws. He posted the same silly threads on there that he used to on the old days of Outlaw Star.Net which are now seen as stupid by older members.

Tigerclaws was hit by an unexpected wave of posters that had beef with Zarove. Unfortunately, Zarove was there to dig his claws into the unsuspecting members of Tigerclaws, so many of the posts were questioned even when Zarove and Zelda Forever was posted. It didn't help that some members were pissed beyond belief. Tigerclaws decided to ban everybody, but was willing to let posters back if they didn't bug Zarove and were willing to contribute to the board.

Zarove was mad at this act and wanted anyone from Outlaw Star.Net gone.

It was then decided to leave Zarove alone, steam off, delete a few of his threads, and keep watch of him in once a blue moon.

Zarove eventually stopped posting to Tigerclaws and moved to religious boards where he thought he would be safe from any criticism. Boy, was he wrong.

Kennon's post on the B5Tech EZBoard 1/10/03

I got an email about Zarove, so here I am.

I'm going to explain as best I can how this all happened, not without quoting tons of posts from the other topics. I doubt it's a problem that I make this a new topic, but if it is, tell me, and I'll re-post it in another topic.

Zarove started out posting at the OutlawStar.net Message Boards around March and April 2001. He posted unregistered, as user names "Zaroff", and "Zarove". He later registered on the date April 10, 2001. He posted often on the subject of Star Trek and dinosaurs, which didn't bother too many people, until Zarove started to bring up his religion, Christianity; and the slightest "misuses" of the word "God" would start a confrontation. Laughing Hyena's sister, by a user name I forget used the term "god darn" which caused Zarove to flip out. From that point on, people started to get frustrated with him.

His imaginary friend with a personality badly disguised to be someone else, who instead was like Zarove in every aspect (typing errors and all), Astria, came to the board at Zarove's defense. I don't remember much of the response to this. Zarove, along with Zelda (or try this link) whom Zarove got "involved with" over the period of time he was still at the OLS boards, Starwind500, and a few other people migrated from OutlawStar.net, to other boards that they created. There, Zarove would attempt to bring up all his Star Trek and dinosaur topics again, to get people interested. Certain people from OutlawStar.net followed him there, and in his terms, "harassed" him, which was really due to emails they received of him saying he'd never come back, which he did, and started everything up again. Or at least this is all to my understanding. Zarove migrated from board to board, getting followed and followed by people he claimed to be "TORMANTERS" or "STKLAERS", only because he brought things back up again. He's been to my board, which is now dead, he's been to the Shotgun Larry Message Board (great place, I recommend it to most of you, if you're into gaming and anime), and many other places.

During the times he was at these boards he created, he and his gang used a Bravenet chat called "Starwind 500's Chat" to talk to each other. I can't say I wasn't ever in there. Forgive me. He and Zelda talked alot, and Zelda told me she loved him. I got pretty worried, knowing Zarove. He exploded in rage at times, and Christ knows how manipulative he was.

Recently, Zarove has been to a few sci-fi boards, Tigerclaws, and this one are the two I know of.

I think I'm done with Zarove's only story, leaving out much emphasis on Zarove and Zelda's "relationship". Vinnie, fill in my gaps if you want.

Now, for my opinions on this.

Quote, He posted often on the subject of Star Trek and dinosaurs, which didn't bother too many people, until Zarove started to bring up his religion, Christianity; and the slightest "misuses" of the word "God" would start a confrontation. Laughing Hyena's sister, by a user name I forget used the term "god darn" which caused Zarove to flip out. From that point on, people started to get frustrated with him.

That's quoting myself. I dont' see why Zarove can't let it go. If he'd leave his mother's basement, he'd realize that outside of the house, people use "the Lord's name in vain" all the time.

It's much to everyone's complete horror that we've been in interaction with someone so perverted that he seeks love from a 12 year-old girl on the internet. That humanity (or should I call Zarove that much) could degrade to that level really bothers me. A person who suffers from chronic depression should not be spending his time online seeking solace in girls half his age, and knowledge of potential abusers, he should get a psychiatrist, clean up, and start his life over. Or, for our benefit, much more so than his, leave the internet altogether.

Anyone feel free to comment. This is sure to enrage Zarove further, if he isn't too busy crying in the basement.

Threats, Excuses, Lies, and Paranoia

Over the years, Zarove has told many stories that are either true or false. Most members don't even know anymore and see all as false. If you encounter and talk to Zarove, you may be treated to the following:

1. I am dyslexic.
People who have dyslexic have difficulty with reading and/or writing. This is used as a excuse/crutch when questioned about why he isn't using or seems to not want to use a spell checker to make himself more clear. He also uses his dyslexic excuse as a bait and switch tactic, don't fall for it.
2. Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Yeah, we already know. But some of you new to Zarove probably don't. So don't bother with 'Why are you not using a spell checker?' It's either: My keyboard is messed up, something bad happens when I use a spell checker, I'm dyslexic (see number 1), I do have proof but I will post it later, etc., etc.
Note this is not excluded to questions about spelling. Zarove will use excuses for everything.
3. LADY ASTRIA uses the same computer as I do. Or I'm not Zarove.
If any account is coming from the same e-mail address as Zarove's, and types just like Zarove, it's a sockpuppet.
4. I work for a newspaper.
A very bogus claim. One probably prays for his poor editor or anyone he has to work with if it's true.
5. I live in Tennessee and I am British.
Zarove may live close to that area, but nothing has really hinted at that he is British.
6. OLS.Net is evil and lying.
Zarove is treating Outlaw Star.Net as if it is a single breathing entity rather than a bunch of people with different opinions. Thus he is making new people who don't even know him evil by default by just joining.
7. I have PROOF!
Any claims of proof or evidence from Zarove always turn out to be bogus. Since he has a history of never backing anything up to his claims.
8. You are dishonorable and despicable.
Despite how he tries to paint you as being if you disagree with him, what Zarove is doing is projecting his own flaws unto you. Zarove is not above using blackmail and serious threats. Zarove does not see that some of the threats he makes are very dangerous. Zarove has no concept at all of responsibility, this should serve as a grave warning if you wish to confront him.
9. Can't take the fire.
You usually know you've gotten Zarove down for the count in a argument is when he acts like you're not there or starts calling you names. He will not respond to any points you brought up that he knows he can't answer to. Thus he will go on points he discussed before with other users rather than flat out responding to you.
10 Are you trying to call me a idiot? No I'm not, you are the idiot.
Yeah, there's a good chance you probably didn't even say anything of the sort in the first place when replying civil-like to Zarove. Don't worry, putting words into your mouth is a game Zarove's been playing for a very long time. If you did say something uncivil, Zarove is going to hold it against you for the rest of your life.
