Sockpuppet

A sockpuppet is an additional account from a existing member of a online community or from a banned member acting like he's a new person to the community. This new account can be used as support for the main account that created it.
When Outlaw Star.Net moved to it's current status, all old accounts that were not being used were banned. Users who created a new account on the board, could go to the forum's Custom Titles and User-name Change section to ask for a name change or merge their new account name with their old account name.
