PROTIP

A PROTIP is a bit of seemingly obvious advice given for the lulz. It all stemmed from the official guide to DOOM, the first-person shooter. There were actual, useful bits of information dispensed throughout it with the PROTIP label, but for the Cyberdemon, the PROTIP was "To defeat the Cyberdemon, shoot at it until it dies." This has become an internet phenomenon, perhaps better referred to as a meme. Pic related.

Anytime you may want to give someone some advice that seems plainly obvious, the PROTIP label can be used. Try to avoid over-using it though, or its lulz will decrease.
