Hanmyo (anime)

Hanmyo is the youngest member of the Anten Seven, probably only around 10 or 11. She has a brief romantic involvement with Jim (possibly never knowing he was part of Gene's crew), who believes that their meeting was fate. She arranges a second date with Jim prior to her second battle with the Outlaw Star.

She is an expert in space combat, piloting an advanced ship which separates into 3 subsections each equipped with its own grappler and weapons. Through 'mental-link' technology she can communicate with her cats which allows the the cats to pilot their own section of the ship giving her a clear advantage in battle. She easily proves to be quite a match for the Outlaw Star on their first encounter, forcing Gene and the crew to escape and dock at the satellite station Symka 5 (where she meets Jim for the first time).

She attacks again when they leave Symka 5 to draw the mysterious pilot out, only to be destroyed. She had tried to finish them off too quickly, apparently determined to keep her appointment with Jim for their second date. The Outlaw Star returned to Symka 5 for repairs following the battle, where Jim finds that she has missed their date. A single rose from the flowers Jim had given her on their first date could be seen floating in space as the left the station for good.
